People are not being reached in the context of the body of Christ--they're like newborn babies being left on a doorstep somewhere to feed and care for themselves.

About This Quote

When we go to church and worship, we really know that God wants us to be a part of the body of Christ. We may not know much about what that means yet, but we can certainly see it in action in our lives. We're in the body of Christ when we do something for someone else. We're a part of the body when we greet someone else when they come to visit.

We're a part of the body when we make someone else feel welcome when they arrive at our homes. When people are being reached in the context of the body of Christ, they are being given a chance to grow and develop in relationship with God and others. This is what makes us a part of the body--not just taking up space or being present in church but actually being a vital, living part that matters.
